In the fall of 2007, Creative Green taught its first workshop at a school to over 100 parents and teachers. Since then I have taught workshops to elementary school classrooms, parents, PTA groups, and teachers, as well as offered consultations for schools who want to take the next steps in going green. I've decided to expand the program and offer it to schools throughout Los Angeles county. This program is:
Convenient -For many parents, educators and staff with busy
schedules, having workshops available at their school makes them easier
to attend and provides a community context for embracing sustainability.
Practical and Informative-Creative Green offers an understanding of the core principles of sustainable living and teaches simple solutions for creating a healthy space, environment and lifestyle.
Diverse in Topics - We offer workshops on a wide variety of topics, and have chosen those which are most pertinent to educators, parents of young children and school employees. Additional workshops are also available upon request.
In addition, consider that the carbon footprint of one speaker traveling to a school is far smaller than that of many traveling to our location for every workshop.
Creative Green serves as a meaningful
educational resource for city dwellers who want to “go green” from head
to toe, kitchen to garden, and home to office.
